Space Community Nepal is a national programme to inspire, educate and connect the next generation of Nepali scientists, engineers and dreamers. Without it, MARS-1 and the Academy risk becoming exclusive international experiences that Nepal hosts but does not truly own.

Space Talks
A speaker series bringing leading analog astronauts and space scientists to Kathmandu. In person and live-streamed, free to anyone with an internet connection.
Workshops
Practical satellite-building, rocketry and space-robotics workshops for secondary-school and university students.
Himalayan Space Summit
The premier space conference in the region, held in Pokhara. Presenting MARS-1 research, hosting student competitions, drawing international attendees and media.
Dark-Sky Programme
Developing Upper Mustang's extraordinary night skies, among the darkest in Asia, into a designated International Dark Sky Place.
Scholarships & Internships
Subsidised training seats for Nepali university teams, 6-10 paid internships a year and a women-in-space scholarship on every AA-200 cohort.
Nepal at the centre
At least 30% of all participants will be Nepali, with local people from Mustang employed and trained.
